		<description>Another way to frame it (in terms that might be more manageable or comfortable than &#039;manifesto&#039;) is to think about the &#039;mission.&#039;  Asking instead: What is the _misson_ of your work?  What is your mission as a researcher?  Manifesto sounds like something you will staple to a lamp post -- mission sounds and feels much more positive to me, and denotes a plan of action in a way that like.  Thinking along those lines has helped me clear up some of my pre-dissertation thinking in the past few months.</description>
